Kiara Scott, the winemaker at Brookdale Estate, is the youngest female winemaker in all of South Africa. Her Mason Road Chenin Blanc, which was grown organically and dry-farmed in the Paarl appellation, is a gorgeous, elegant expression of this classic variety, showing textbook notes of lamb's wool, beeswax, grapefruit and wildflower honey. This was fermented with wild yeasts, aged in a combination of neutral barrel and stainless steel, and was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
