Processus Maria Gomes

This lush, mineral, honeyed wine is made of the Portuguese grape variety Maria Gomes, also known as Fernao Pires, which was grown in the Western Cape region of Worcester in South Africa. Farmed organically, fermented with native yeasts, foot-stomped, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this shows intriguing notes of lemon verbena, curry leaf, lanolin and crushed sea salt, and was made by a female winemaker who also makes wine at Beau Constantia. This was lees-aged for 7 months in neutral demi-muids.
