Chateau de Trinquevedel Tavel Rosé 2016

Chateau de Trinquevedel Tavel Rosé 2016

Tavel, Rhone Valley, France

$21.99 / each

Tavel is the only appellation in France that makes nothing but rosé and the wines from this region are characteristically darker in color and fuller-bodied than their Provencal counterparts. This spicy, cranberry-colored Tavel rosé is made by the historic Chateau de Trinquevedel and is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, Mourvedre and Syrah. Juicy notes of strawberry and red currant fruit are punctuated by zippy lemon rind flavors, yielding a beautiful wine that has much more complexity than one might expect from a rosé.
