Marco Porello Mommiano Barbera d’Alba $26.50
Cesare Porello founded his winery in the Roero region of Piemonte in the 1930s, and his grandson, Marco, is now at the helm. He produces modern, chiseled versions of Piemonte's classic varieties and his Barbera, which is grown sustainably and sourced from the region of Alba, carries this modern sensibility as well, boasting a bright purple hue, vivid bramble berry fruit, excellent mineral depth, and gorgeous violet aromas.
