Aglianico is one of southern Italy's most singular grapes. This excellent example was grown organically and comes from the volcanic soils of Mount Vulture in the region of Basilicata. Earthy and very nuanced, this wine displays appetizing notes of dried wild herbs, forest mushrooms, and roasted red cherries. This was brought up in stainless steel and saw no oak at all.
