Quinta de Arcosso Bastardo 2016

Tras-Os-Montes, Portugal

$23.75 / each

Description:

This brambly, very expressive Portuguese wine is made of 100% Bastardo, also known as Trousseau in the Jura region of France. In Tras-Os-Montes, where this wine was grown, Bastardo takes on a very unique character, yielding an alluring wine that tastes like a cross between Nebbiolo and Gamay. Sleek blackberry and raspberry fruit are offset by rustic, dusty tannins in this foot-trodden bottling that was aged in chestnut barrels.
