FAQ

Q: Does someone need to be home to sign for my or my gift recipient's shipments?

A: Yes! The delivery carrier will require a signature from an adult 21 years of age or older in order to make the delivery. If you or your gift recipient are not able to be home to sign for your wine club shipments, we strongly suggest having your wine club shipments sent to an office or business address where an adult 21 years of age or older is available to sign for the shipments. The delivery carrier will make 3 attempts to deliver the shipment and will then return the shipment to us. If you would like your shipment to be reshipped to you or your gift recipient, you will be charged a return shipment fee of $20 for all 2 bottle shipments, $26 for all 4 bottle shipments, and $48 for all 12 bottle shipments.

Q: Can I order additional bottles of a wine I received in one of my wine club shipments? 

A: Yes! You can reorder additional bottles of current and past wines featured in your shipments by browsing our Shop section. There is a 4 bottle minimum for all reorders.

Q: How does billing work?

A: Plonk Wine Club subscriptions that have a duration of 3, 6 or 12 months are prepaid at the time of purchase in the form of a non-refundable one-time credit card payment. Billing for monthly and quarterly subscriptions takes place at the time of purchase for the first month and then on the first day of each subsequent month for the duration of the subscription.

Q: When do wine club shipments get sent out?

A: All wine club shipments get sent out the first week of each month. Members who purchase a Plonk Wine Club on or prior to the 1st day of the month will be included in the next scheduled club shipment. Members who purchase a Plonk Wine Club after the 1st day of the month will be included in the following month's club shipment.  Shipments may take between five to ten business days to arrive.

Q: How many bottles of wine are included in each shipment?

A: For all Curated Wine Clubs, including the Mixed Wine Club, Red Wine Club and White Wine Club, you can choose to receive 2, 4 or 12 bottles of wine in your monthly shipment. All Grape Variety Wine Clubs, including the Cabernet Wine Club, Pinot Noir Wine Club, and Sauvignon Blanc Wine Club, include 2 bottles in each monthly shipment.

Q: Do your wine clubs feature multiple/identical bottles of the same wine each month or do I get 2, 4 and 12 different wine selections?  

A: Our 2 bottle clubs feature 2 different wine selections each month, with 1 bottle of each wine included in the shipment. Similarly, our 4 bottle clubs feature 4 different wine selections each month, with 1 bottle of each wine included in the shipment. Our 12 bottle clubs feature 3 bottles each of 4 different wine selections.

Q: Can I change my wine club shipment type from a mixed selection to all reds or all whites? Or switch from the Cabernet Club to the Pinot Noir Club?

Q: For the Grape Variety Wine Clubs, do I get 2 different bottles of Cabernet/Pinot Noir/Sauvignon Blanc each month? How does it work?

A: Our Grape Variety Wine Clubs were designed for drinkers who know exactly what they like and have very specific wine style preferences. Our goal with our Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc clubs (all include 2 bottles per shipment) is to give you one bottle of something you're familiar with and know you love: Cabernet, Pinot Noir, or Sauvignon Blanc, and then give you a second bottle of a similarly-styled wine that's made of a different grape. We like to call these doppelgänger wines! The idea is to remain within your established wine style, but explore new wines within the same category that you would have never known to choose for yourself.

Q: Can I reroute my package to a new address once it has already been shipped?

A: Yes! We are happy to change your delivery address once your or your gift recipient's shipment has already been shipped. You will be charged a $20 address change fee to reroute the package to a new address once it is mid-transit. Delivery address changes that are made between shipments are free of charge.

Q: When I purchase a wine club, do I need to select which wines I want to receive?

A: No! At the Plonk Wine Club, we do the picking and you do the drinking! We do all the work so that you don’t have to. Once you purchase a wine club subscription, your monthly shipments will automatically arrive on your or your gift recipient’s doorstep. 

Q: Does my gift recipient need to activate his/her gift subscription in order to begin receiving shipments?

A: No! No activation of any kind is required for your gift recipient to begin receiving his/her shipments. Once you purchase a gift subscription, shipments will automatically begin according to our standard monthly shipment schedule.

Q: How do I update my shipping address, billing address, or credit card information?
