This silky, deeply concentrated example from Chateau de Saint-Amour is an exceptional expression of the Gamay grape. This very impressive, beautifully crafted wine was grown on granite soils, bears a brilliant purple hue, and is redolent of fresh violets and crushed minerals. On the palate you'll find vivid black raspberry and blackberry flavors, racy acidity and fabulous textural density.

Description:

Saperavi is Georgia's most prolific indigenous red grape and this fragrant, sustainably farmed example is named after the Doqi, a traditional clay pitcher which symbolizes hospitality. This is a bright, cheerful wine that shows deep, intense blackberry fruit and mouth-watering acidity. Silky tannins bring fabulous structure to the wine, which though densely concentrated, still manages to be sprightly and light on its feet. This was raised in a combination of stainless steel and French oak.

Description:

This raspberry and strawberry-scented Central Coast Pinot Noir hails from Mission Ranch Vineyard in Monterey. Deceptively light in hue, this wine is actually quite intense in flavor, showing gorgeous ripeness and complex notes of cinnamon and cardamom spice, as well as a touch of caramel on the finish. Aged in neutral barrel for 11 months, this is soft, supple, and very elegant in style. Timbre is a project spearheaded by Joshua Klapper and Alex Katz of La Fenetre Wines.

This plummy, cocoa-scented Cabernet Franc was grown organically and biodynamically in Venezia Giulia in northern Italy and was made by an enologist who is a winemaker at Gravner, the extremely famous estate in Friuli. Rich in texture and beautifully structured, this is a wine with a real sense of gravitas, showing velvety black cherry fruit, earthy notes of lead pencil shavings and finely-grained tannins. Unfiltered and aged in old French barriques, this is a very singular, very classy wine.
