Description:

This velvety, incredibly complex Petite Sirah hails from the Santa Ynez Valley in California's Central Coast. Refugio Ranch manages to make a wine that is plush, powerful and deeply concentrated, yet not remotely oaky or heavy-handed, which is not an easy task with Petite Sirah, which has the potential to be a beast. A gorgeous palate full of blueberry preserves, black currant fruit and black licorice notes is punctuated by smoky graphite and slate aromas, yielding a truly exceptional wine.
