Charles Joguet Chinon Rosé 2016

Charles Joguet Chinon Rosé 2016

Chinon, Loire Valley, France

$21.99 / each

Description:

Charles Joguet is a benchmark producer in the Loire Valley appellation of Chinon and their rosé made of 100% Cabernet Franc is pitch perfect. Super fresh and beautifully concentrated, this wine was grown organically and features bright cranberry and puckery lemon rind flavors. This was made using the saignee method by which a portion of a red wine is "bled off" to make rosé while the juice is still macerating on the skins and the hue is a light shade of pink. The rest of the wine later goes into red wine production.

Alto Landon Rayuelo Bobal 2012

Alto Landon Rayuelo Bobal 2012

Manchuela, Spain

$21.99 / each

Description:

This rustic, mouth-filling wine is made of the Spanish grape Bobal and was grown in a super high-altitude vineyard in the region of Manchuela. Black-fruited and very aromatically expressive, this is quite the departure from other examples of Bobal which can be clunky and oftentimes lack elegance. Juicy notes of blackberry, black cherry and black plum fruit are offset by toasty oak and exotic spice aromas, yielding a complex, very unique wine.
