Description:

Tannat has become Uruguay's signature red grape and this sleek, violet-scented bottling made by Bouza, who is widely considered to be Uruguay's top producer, is just exceptional. Elegant and full of finesse, this is deep purple in hue, polished and silky in the mouth, and extremely well balanced. The palate here features velvety tannins, spiced blackberry fruit, fragrant licorice notes and vibrant acidity. This was aged in a combination of French and American oak for 13 months.

This spicy, densely-concentrated, silk glove of a wine is a blend of Syrah and Petite Sirah sourced from Sonoma and Lake County in California. Simultaneously meaty and fresh, exotic and comforting, this is just stellar and shows intriguing notes of star anise, clove and leather set against richly textured black cherry and black plum fruit. Fermented with wild yeasts, this saw 24 months in mostly neutral French oak.

Grown on 100 year old vines in the appellation of Terre del Volturno, this medium-bodied wine is elegant and nuanced, showing dusty tannins, floral aromas, sweet black currant and blackberry fruit, and crushed rock minerality. Fresh and vivid, this was brought up in stainless steel.
