Enkidu Humbaba 2012

Sonoma and Lake County, California

$23.75 / each

Description:

This spicy, densely-concentrated, silk glove of a wine is a blend of Syrah and Petite Sirah sourced from Sonoma and Lake County in California. Simultaneously meaty and fresh, exotic and comforting, this is just stellar and shows intriguing notes of star anise, clove and leather set against richly textured black cherry and black plum fruit. Fermented with wild yeasts, this saw 24 months in mostly neutral French oak.

$23.75 / each

Description:

This zesty, plum-scented bottling is made of 80% Casavecchia and 20% Pallagrello Nero, grapes that are both indigenous to the southern Italian region of Campania. Grown on 100 year old vines in the appellation of Terre del Volturno, this medium-bodied wine is elegant and nuanced, showing dusty tannins, floral aromas, sweet black currant and blackberry fruit, and crushed rock minerality. Fresh and vivid, this was brought up in stainless steel.
