Mastro Scheidt Sangiovese 2016

Mastro Scheidt Sangiovese 2016

Sonoma County, California

$23.75 / each

Description:

This 100% Sangiovese bottling was grown on a hillside vineyard at the northern extreme of Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley. Fermented with wild yeasts and treated with only neutral barrel to enable the wine's purity to show through, this is California Sangiovese at its best. Generous red berry and red cherry fruit are accented here by beautifully etched mineral notes and mouth-watering acidity, yielding an incredibly elegant, super fresh wine.

Silvio Giamello Villa Gentiana Langhe Nebbiolo 2016

Langhe, Piemonte, Italy

$23.75 / each

Description:

This classically-styled tiny production Nebbiolo is essentially declassified Barbaresco made by a husband and wife team in the Langhe region of Piemonte. Made traditionally, with an old-school, hands-off approach to winemaking, this wine sees no chemicals or sprays in the vineyard. Presenting fragrant notes of cherry cordial on the nose, this is dusty, earthy, super delicious stuff that reveals notes of leather, tobacco and bright red cherry fruit as it aerates in the glass.
