Description:

This lilac-scented, exotically-spiced blend of 90% Mencia, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, hails from the Spanish region of Bierzo, which has put the Mencia grape on the international wine map. Deeply concentrated with fabulous density and earthy minerality, this was aged in a combination of neutral barrel and clay amphora and was made by a Spanish winemaker who trained in Burgundy.

An organic blend of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo, this bottling is medium-bodied, sassy and very aromatically expressive. Loaded with violet aromas, juicy red plum fruit and spicy clove notes, this wine was made by the Pastor Gilabert family in collaboration with brothers Andres and Ramon Serrano, who are pioneers of organic farming in Rioja.
