The Coteaux du Giennois is an obscure appellation in France's Loire Valley, located just north of its more famous neighbor, Sancerre, where lush, mineral, racy Sauvignon Blanc thrives beautifully. This seashell-scented example was farmed organically and shows zesty lemon, lime and crushed maldon salt aromatics on a crisp, structured frame. Fermented with native yeasts, this wine spent 2 years on its lees, yielding gorgeous depth and complexity.
