This dry, mineral, old vines blend of 50% Mourvedre, 30% Carignan and 20% Syrah hails from the Cotes de Provence, just northeast of Bandol, and is certified organic. Displaying complex layers of red cherry and blackberry fruit, herbes de Provence, licorice and gravelly crushed earth, this is beautifully structured, spicy and super expressive. Winemakers Cécile and Philippe Bénézet practice minimal intervention winemaking, using native yeasts and very small additions of sulfur.
