Lone Madrone The Dodd
$49.99

This certified organic, dry farmed blend of 42% Tannat, 32% Petit Verdot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Zinfandel hails from the Adelaida District of Paso Robles in California's Central Coast. Made by Neil Collins, the head winemaker at Tablas Creek, and his son, Jordan, this is serious wine showing a meaty earthiness and mineral complexity that are very impressive. Dusty tannins lead to a structured palate teeming with leather, tobacco, dark forest berries and zesty acidity. This was aged in neutral barrel for 18 months and only 265 cases were produced in total.
