This certified organic, old vines red blend hails from the appellation of Faugeres in France's Languedoc region and is comprised of Carignan, Mourvedre and Syrah. Chalky, grippy and beautifully structured, this is fabulous stuff showing stony minerality, crushed graphite notes and lush blackberry and black plum fruit. Mas des Capitelles was founded by ninth generation winemaker Jean Laugé whose father was a driving force in the creation of the Faugeres appellation in the 1980s.
