This organically farmed, native yeast fermented crushable red was made by the incredible Steve Matthiasson in the Dunnigan Hills appellation of California, which is located about halfway between Napa Valley and Sacramento. Funky and fresh, this zesty blend of Barbera, Aglianico and Montepulciano shows vivid sour cherry, cranberry, strawberry and tomato leaf notes, backed by racy, mouth-watering acidity that keeps the wine lifted and thirst-quenching.
